Get a head start

If you want a glimpse of what it's like to work at a full-service firm, our summer vacation schemes will give you a front-row seat on our work, plus an idea of the type of people who work here.

You can apply for one of these two-week vacation schemes if you're in the penultimate year of your law degree or the final year of your non-law degree. You'll spend a week each in two different practice groups sitting alongside a partner or associate – we'll do our best to make sure they're areas you've expressed a particular interest in. As well as gaining hands-on work experience, you'll learn about the firm as a whole. There will also be social and sporting events where you can get to know current trainees and other placement students.

By the end of the two weeks you'll have a better idea of whether we're right for you and vice versa. We'll also give you feedback throughout to tell you how you're doing – and if we see that you have the potential star quality, you may be awarded a training contract at the end of your scheme.

Competition's high for these places – we only take 30+ students each year – so you'll need to convince us you are serious about a career in law.
