OUR COMMUNITY WORK
As a firm, we're committed to making a positive difference to the communities where we live and work. There are a host of ways we've been doing this, all of which tend to involve either making financial donations or giving our time through volunteering. Everyone from trainees to partners gets the chance to be involved.
Recently we've supported a wide range of medical and educational projects as well as high profile sporting and cultural events such as the Professional Cricketers' Association (PCA) Masters Series and the World's Most Photographed and Face of Fashion exhibitions at the National Portrait Gallery. This year we will commence a third sponsorship with the National Portrait Gallery, which will see the firm sponsor the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize for a period of three years. We've also committed to using our expertise wherever we can to benefit the communities in which we are based. We have developed a range of legal pro bono projects including an advice clinic recently established with the Blackfriars Settlement, a local community assistance initiative. Trainees and associates provide legal advice at the weekly clinic for those who would not otherwise be able to access it or afford it. Our community partnerships extend to local schools and hospitals.
We continue to donate money to charities chosen by members of the firm and we've also backed national initiatives such as Make Poverty History and The 1,000 City Lawyers.
These are just some of the issues we've been supporting, and we're always keen to hear suggestions of new causes that deserve our support.
