Taylor Wessing Commercial Challenge
The results are in!
Taylor Wessing is pleased to announce that Team Mammouth from UCL are winners of the fourth Taylor Wessing Commercial Challenge. Team Mammouth team members Hanna Culhane, Nino Dolbaia, Imaan Gangi and James Robson enjoyed an exclusive night of at Sushi Samba and have each been awarded a week's paid work experience at Taylor Wessing.
The Commercial Challenge is an innovative competition which is run across four of the London Universities: UCL, LSE, KCL and SOAS. It is designed to immerse students in a real business situation and show them the part law plays in big City deals. This year the transaction was based on Velti’s acquisition of Mobile Interactive Group.
Four teams representing King’s College London (KCL), London School of Economics (LSE) and University College London (UCL), reached the final and were invited to Taylor Wessing’s London office to present their pitch to the judging panel. With teams from KCL, LSE and UCL having won previous Challenges, this was the second win in a row for UCL.
Graduate Recruitment Partner Tim Worden comments:
“The Taylor Wessing Commercial Challenge gives students an opportunity to gain the skills needed in today's working environment.
This year, the quality of entries made the challenge ever more competitive. The finalists proved themselves to have great potential as Taylor Wessing lawyers of the future, offering both commercial solutions and practical legal advice. Many congratulations to both Team Mammouth and all the contestants."
